## Responsibilities

- Build Global-First Platform Architecture: Design and develop reusable, country-agnostic platform components and services from inception. Create modular architecture that enables rapid deployment across diverse healthcare systems and regulatory environments, allowing new markets to be onboarded in weeks rather than months.
- Lead International Market Launch Technical Strategy: Own critical technical decisions for new country expansions, including insurance operations infrastructure, claims processing systems, member experience layers, and provider network integration. Define how Alan's systems evolve to support 10+ countries while maintaining engineering velocity and system reliability.
- Design Multi-Currency Payment & Billing Systems: Build and maintain scalable payment infrastructure supporting multiple currencies, tax systems, and payment methods. Ensure compliance with local financial regulations while maintaining consistent billing logic across diverse market requirements and operational models.
- Architect Country-Agnostic Data Models: Design database schemas and data models that accommodate fundamental differences in healthcare systems—from network-based insurance models to reimbursement systems. Maintain data consistency and accessibility globally while allowing local customization where required.
- Develop Localization & Configuration Systems: Create flexible configuration layers and localization frameworks enabling rapid country onboarding. Build systems that handle local nuances (languages, regulations, healthcare practices) without fragmenting the codebase or compromising global product standards.
- Ship Culturally Adapted Member Experiences: Build mobile (React Native) and web (React) interfaces that feel locally relevant while leveraging shared global components.
