## Responsibilities

- Build and Ship North Platform Features: Design, develop, and deploy features for Cohere's North AI workspace platform, ensuring reliability and security across the entire feature lifecycle from concept to production deployment.
- Develop Autonomous AI Agents: Engineer autonomous agents capable of accessing and processing sensitive enterprise data securely, implementing proper authentication, encryption, and data governance protocols.
- Optimize for Resource-Constrained Environments: Write minimal, efficient code optimized for low-resource deployments with stringent deployment mechanisms, focusing on performance and resource utilization rather than convenience.
- Implement Security-First Architecture: Prioritize security and privacy in all implementation decisions, potentially reinventing solutions when popular libraries or tooling pose security risks, and ensuring compliance with enterprise data protection requirements.

## **In this role you will:**

* Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform
* Develop autonomous agents that talk to sensitive enterprise data
* Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments, and has highly stringent deployment mechanisms
* As security and privacy are paramount, you will sometimes need to re-invent the wheel, and won’t be able to use the most popular libraries or tooling
* Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques

## **You may be a good fit if:**

* You have at least two years' experience
* Have shipped (lots of) fullstack code (Python and React) in production
* You excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives are a moving target
* You’ve worked in both large enterprises and startups
* You have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack.
* You’re able to read and understand, and even fix issues outside of the main code base
* You have built and deployed extremely performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications to millions of users.
