## Full description
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.

SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.

## About the Role

We're hiring Field Engineers to partner with prospective and growing commercial customers. As a Field Engineer, you'll be the technical face of SpaceX Super Intelligence in the field, helping customers evaluate the Grok platform, including Cursor, Grok Bot and the Grok API, guiding them through proofs of concept, and ensuring they see the full value of AI across their engineering workflows and wider business processes.

You'll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scope solutions, demonstrate capabilities, and act as a trusted advisor to technical stakeholders. This is a highly customer-facing role where you'll combine deep technical fluency with strong communication skills to drive adoption and influence product direction.

## **What you’ll do**

* Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements
* Build working prototypes that connect multiple tools and agents to show customers how a real workflow runs end to end
* Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, architects, and developers, serving as their technical advisor
* Translate customer requirements into end-to-end solution designs, from agents and tooling to the controls that keep people in the loop, guiding them on best practices for rollout, prompt strategy, and context configuration
* Develop and deliver technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, and hands-on workshops tailored to customer needs
* Act as the customer's technical advocate internally, influencing roadmap priorities and escalating feedback to Product and Engineering
* Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure a smooth handoff and successful customer onboarding
* Maintain deep knowledge of the Grok platform and the competitive landscape to position our value effectively
* Support account planning and help drive expansion opportunities across a portfolio of customers with technical validation

## **You may be a fit if**

* You have strong communication skills and executive presence, equally comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to technical leaders.
* You have a deep understanding of how work gets done in modern organisations, whether that's the software development lifecycle and developer productivity, or the business systems and workflows that span teams
* You have hands-on technical ability and think in systems: you don't need to be a full-time engineer, but you're fluent in technical workflows and AI tooling, and understand how the pieces connect, where they break, and how to make them reliable at scale
* You are customer-obsessed with a knack for translating technical details into business impact
* You have experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Pre-Sales, or have designed and built systems that automate work across teams and tools
* You thrive in a startup environment: resourceful, adaptable, proactive in creating solutions, and comfortable running several evaluations in parallel
