Role
What you'll do.
Senior Full Stack Engineer at Solace Health, a Series C healthcare technology startup revolutionizing patient advocacy through expert-led tools and decision support. You'll own complete product workflows across the stack—from React frontends to NestJS backends—while building scalable systems that serve live patients. This role demands autonomous ownership, rapid execution, and the ability to architect high-quality solutions in a lean, mission-driven U.S.-based team.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Product Ownership: Take autonomous ownership of features from initial design requirements through deployment to production. You'll independently architect solutions, write production-ready code, and ensure every detail meets quality standards across the full technology stack.
- Full Stack Development: Build and maintain user-facing features encompassing database models, backend APIs, and React-based UI components. Develop services and APIs using NestJS and TypeORM that power both existing and new features for the web application.
- System Health and Code Quality: Maintain system robustness and resilience through proactive refactoring, codebase improvements, and architectural enhancements. Participate in continuous deployment practices with daily code commits and regular feature releases to production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and designers to drive product direction, influence feature requirements, and implement collaborative visions. Communicate technical trade-offs clearly and help translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Technical Specification and Documentation: Write clear technical specifications to ensure code quality and enable stress-free deployments. Document architectural decisions and maintain knowledge base for team synchronization and future maintenance.
- Problem-Solving and Architecture: Identify technical problems in ambiguous domains where solutions are not yet well-defined. Design and architect highest-quality solutions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability while learning from feedback and iterative refinement.

About the Role
As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll join a spectacularly talented team of fellow engineers—but you will also be expected to independently own your product workflow from initial design requirements through deployment. You will be expected to move aggressively, and you will commit code daily, but you’ll get that rush of seeing your work in the wild with live users on a regular basis as you build a revolutionary product from scratch.
You are an experienced engineer who can identify problems and architect the highest-quality solutions. You are curious and enjoy working on ambiguous problems where the solutions are not (yet) well-defined. You take pride in your craft, have impeccable communication skills, and you absorb feedback exceptionally well. You aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Above all, you enjoy taking ownership and are stifled by large organizations.
