Summary

AKASA is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to develop AI-powered solutions for healthcare revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will build critical services and APIs that support innovative SaaS products, working closely with product, design, and machine learning teams to transform clinical documentation and medical coding processes.

What you'll do

AI Solution Development: Build cutting-edge experiences for large healthcare organizations
Backend Service Creation: Design, build, and maintain shared APIs, tools, and services
Machine Learning Integration: Develop services on top of machine learning to solve complex customer problems
Architectural Collaboration: Participate in design discussions and shape platform architecture
Team Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team

What we look for

Technical

Python ProficiencyAdvanced software engineering experience in Python
Cloud InfrastructureProficiency in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
API DevelopmentExperience with FastAPI and building scalable backend services

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience

Software Development5+ years of professional experience in software development or machine learning
SaaS Product ExperienceProven track record with SaaS product development
