The role

Summary

Assured is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to drive the evolution of their B2B SaaS platform in the insurance technology space. The role focuses on creating exceptional user experiences, developing scalable frontend architectures, and integrating AI-native product development workflows for claims processing software.

What you'll do

Frontend Architecture: Own major areas of frontend architecture, driving decisions around scalability, performance, maintainability, and user experience consistency across the platform
AI-Assisted Development: Leverage AI development tools to accelerate UI development, prototyping, debugging, testing, and iteration
Interface Design: Design and implement polished, production-ready interfaces from concept to refined customer experiences
Code Quality: Write, test, and ship high-quality frontend code with focus on responsiveness, accessibility, performance, and maintainability
UI Systems Development: Architect reusable UI systems, component libraries, and frontend abstractions to enable fast, consistent product development at scale
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with design, product, backend, and data teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centered workflows and experiences
Continuous Improvement: Use customer feedback, analytics, and usage insights to continuously improve product usability and interaction quality
Engineering Culture: Mentor engineers and help establish a strong frontend engineering culture focused on craftsmanship, speed, ownership, and modern tooling

Web Application DevelopmentExtensive experience building and scaling complex modern web applications and frontend systems
Frontend ArchitectureDeep expertise in component systems, state management, performance optimization, and production-quality software delivery
AI Engineering ToolsStrong proficiency with modern AI engineering and design tooling for development acceleration

Education

Computer Science or Related FieldBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Experience

Systems ThinkingProven ability to design scalable UI architectures and maintain consistency across large products and teams
AI Development WorkflowExperience using AI tools to prototype interfaces, generate ideas, debug issues, and improve workflow efficiency

Frontend TechnologiesAdvanced proficiency in modern frontend web development technologies and frameworks
