What you'll do.
Field Engineer at Cursor, a leading AI-powered code editor company, responsible for driving enterprise customer adoption through technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept leadership, and strategic solution design. Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Discovery and Sales Acceleration: Partner closely with Account Executives to conduct comprehensive technical discovery sessions, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and architect proof-of-concept engagements that showcase Cursor's AI capabilities in real-world developer scenarios.
- Build and Maintain Strategic Customer Relationships: Establish trusted technical advisory relationships with engineering leaders, CTOs, architects, and senior developers by providing expert guidance on AI-driven development workflows, demonstrating genuine understanding of their technical challenges and organizational constraints.
- Design and Implement Customer Solutions: Translate complex customer requirements into tailored solution architectures, providing recommendations on optimal rollout strategies, prompt engineering best practices, context configuration, and integration approaches with existing development environments.
- Develop and Deliver Technical Presentations: Create and present customized technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and hands-on demonstrations that educate stakeholders at all technical levels on Cursor's capabilities, AI prompt strategies, and engineering productivity optimization techniques.
- Serve as Customer Advocate Internally: Act as the primary voice of the customer within Cursor, escalating critical feedback to Product and Engineering teams, influencing roadmap priorities based on enterprise customer requirements, and ensuring product direction aligns with market needs.
- Drive Seamless Customer Onboarding: Collaborate with post-sales customer success teams to ensure smooth handoff of enterprise accounts, documented solution specifications, and detailed implementation guidance to maximize customer value realization and reduce time-to-productivity.
- Maintain Competitive and Product Expertise: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Cursor's full feature set, competitive landscape analysis, AI tooling ecosystem, and emerging developer productivity trends to effectively position Cursor's differentiation and address competitive objections.
- Identify and Drive Account Expansion Opportunities: Support strategic account planning initiatives by conducting technical validations, identifying expansion use cases within existing customer organizations, and building business cases for additional team adoption and premium feature deployment.

Hands-On Software Development

About the Role
We’re hiring Field Engineers to partner with prospective and strategic enterprise customers. As a Field Engineer, you’ll be the technical face of Anysphere in the field, helping customers evaluate Cursor, guiding them through proofs of concept, and ensuring they see the full value of AI in their engineering workflows.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scope solutions, demonstrate capabilities, and act as a trusted advisor to technical stakeholders. What you’ll do
Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements
