The role

Summary

Fullstory is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Data Infrastructure & AI team to design and optimize high-scale data pipelines processing over 30 billion records daily. The ideal candidate will build scalable systems that transform digital experience data, enabling customers to leverage insights and AI-powered agents using Fullstory's rich behavioral data platform.

What you'll do

Data Pipeline Development: Maintain and scale Go microservices for transforming and delivering Fullstory session data
Data Migration: Develop dbt models and pipeline orchestration for fault-tolerant data migrations
AI Evaluation: Define and implement evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs using tools like Langsmith and Vertex AI
Production Incident Management: Investigate and resolve production incidents, implementing systemic fixes
Technical Leadership: Write technical design documents, drive architectural consensus, and proactively address scaling challenges

Data InfrastructureExtensive experience with high-throughput data pipelines in cloud platforms
Programming SkillsStrong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages
Data ToolsHands-on experience with dbt and data pipeline observability

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience

Senior EngineeringProven track record of owning major system areas end-to-end
Data Pipeline ExperienceSignificant experience in building and operating data transformation systems
