The role

Summary

Hopper's HTS Media Services is seeking a Senior Backend Ads Engineer to build and scale a high-performance advertising platform that powers ad placements across travel brands. The ideal candidate will design distributed systems that handle millions of real-time ad requests with low latency and high reliability.

What you'll do

Build Core Engine: Design, develop, and deploy high-performance microservices for ad serving, targeting, and bidding processes
Performance Optimization: Identify and eliminate system bottlenecks to ensure low-latency service delivery and meet stringent performance requirements
System Reliability: Develop fault-tolerant, resilient systems with robust monitoring to maintain high availability and reliability
Technical Leadership: Drive architectural discussions, conduct comprehensive code reviews, and establish best practices in software development
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, data engineers, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and professional development support to team members, elevating the entire engineering organization
