Summary

Linear is seeking a Product Engineer to help build the next-generation product development system for teams and agents. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack generalist who thrives in a remote, async-first environment, working across TypeScript technologies to implement innovative AI-powered features and high-performance product solutions.

What you'll do

Product Feature Development: Implement new concepts and ideas in close collaboration with founders, product, and design teams

AI Integration: Build AI-powered functionality into the core of Linear's product ecosystem

Content Editor Enhancement: Update and improve the collaborative content editor used across internal surfaces

UI Component Development: Create new user-facing features with beautiful, scalable, and performant UI components

Performance Optimization: Continuously improve application performance and refine software development processes

What we look for

Technical

Frontend TechnologiesStrong React and TypeScript fundamentals with full-stack capabilities

Backend TechnologiesExperience with Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and browser technologies

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

Product Development2-5 years of experience building customer-facing products at a software company with high engineering standards

Startup EnvironmentPrevious experience at a startup or company with a rigorous engineering culture
