Summary

Modal is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join their fast-growing AI infrastructure team in New York City. The ideal candidate will build complex web applications with strong product sense, customer empathy, and the ability to create pixel-perfect, delightful user experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks.

Web Application Development: Build and ship modern, complex web applications with high-quality user interfaces
User Experience Design: Collaborate with product design to create delightful and intuitive user interactions
Product Innovation: Drive product outcomes through technical implementation and strategic thinking
Customer Collaboration: Engage directly with customers to understand and solve their technical challenges

What we look for

Technical

Frontend DevelopmentProven experience in building modern web applications
Framework ExpertiseProficiency in React, with familiarity in other modern JavaScript frameworks

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
