Summary

Notion is seeking an AI Applications Engineer to drive business transformation by developing innovative AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will prototype and validate creative AI applications that deliver measurable impact across Go-to-Market, Finance, and People teams, with a focus on solving complex business challenges through cutting-edge AI technologies.

What you'll do

Strategic AI Solution Development: Discover and translate ambiguous problem statements into concrete proofs-of-concept for business stakeholders
End-to-End AI Prototyping: Develop comprehensive AI solutions from problem framing through data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and initial productization
Reusable Component Creation: Design and implement reusable components, tooling, and templates to accelerate future AI project development

What we look for

Technical

AI/ML ExpertiseExperience with Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and production AI systems
Software Engineering SkillsStrong software development background with ability to prototype and implement AI solutions

Education

Relevant DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience4-8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or equivalent role in a technology company
Business Process UnderstandingHigh-level understanding of end-to-end business processes and systems
