The role

Summary

OpenAI is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for their Engineering Acceleration team, focusing on building robust CI/CD systems and developer productivity infrastructure for device and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will design and implement sophisticated developer workflows that enhance engineering velocity, reduce operational toil, and improve software delivery processes across complex technical environments.

What you'll do

CI/CD System Design: Design and operate comprehensive continuous integration and deployment systems for device and cloud software
Platform Architecture: Lead the design of internal platform capabilities across build, test, deployment, and developer tooling
Developer Productivity: Improve engineering workflows by creating self-serve, automated processes that reduce manual effort
Security Implementation: Build secure-by-default platform capabilities with robust access controls and policy enforcement
Metrics and Observability: Define and track metrics for platform health and engineering effectiveness

Platform EngineeringProven experience in building developer productivity tools and CI/CD infrastructure

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
