Summary

Perplexity AI is seeking a Senior iOS Growth Engineer to drive mobile user acquisition and retention through innovative app experiences. The role focuses on optimizing the mobile funnel, implementing data-driven experiments, and creating high-performance iOS interfaces that enhance user conversion and engagement.

What you'll do

Growth Funnel Optimization: Build and iterate on critical user journey components including onboarding, sign-up, paywall, checkout, and retention flows to improve conversion rates and lifetime value (LTV).

Experimentation and Data-Driven Development: Conduct rapid A/B tests and funnel experiments, utilizing data insights to drive product decisions and scale successful initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with growth product managers, designers, and data scientists to define hypotheses, prioritize experiments, and measure impact on key metrics like activation, conversion, and churn.

UI Component Development: Design and maintain high-quality, reusable UI components for growth surfaces such as paywalls, modals, and tooltips, ensuring performance and optimization.

Mobile Experience Innovation: Collaborate with the core team to design and implement novel mobile experiences that push the boundaries of user interaction.

iOS DevelopmentProficient in Swift, SwiftUI (iOS 16+), and UIKit with a strong understanding of modern iOS development practices

Performance OptimizationAbility to profile and measure app performance, understanding low-level intricacies of mobile application development

Experimentation ToolsExperience with experimentation platforms like Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Firebase A/B Testing, and analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Snowplow

Payment IntegrationExpertise in implementing payment systems including Apple In-App Purchase, Stripe, and RevenueCat

Education

DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience
