Summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build scalable, high-performance systems that power financial data connections for thousands of developers. The ideal candidate will design and maintain robust backend services, collaborate across teams, and contribute to Plaid's mission of unlocking financial freedom through innovative technology solutions.

What you'll do

Backend Service Development: Build and maintain high-performance, reliable, and scalable backend services that power financial data connections

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative features that meet customer needs

Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a focus on system reliability and performance

Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the highest standards of code quality

Technical Leadership: Engage in architectural design, set technical standards, mentor junior engineers, and review technical documentation and code changes
