Summary

Sentry is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow their Machine Learning Engineering team, focusing on developing innovative ML solutions that enhance software monitoring and debugging tools. The ideal candidate will drive technical direction, shape AI-powered developer tools, and lead a high-impact team at the intersection of machine learning and software development.

What you'll do

Technical Strategy: Define technical direction for ML initiatives across classical and advanced AI techniques

Team Leadership: Foster career growth, recruit top ML talent, and guide team execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to identify high-impact ML opportunities

ML System Design: Develop robust evaluation and monitoring frameworks for ML systems in production

Code and Design Review: Actively review technical implementations and contribute to architectural discussions

Technical

ML Production Experience8+ years of professional engineering experience with significant ML system development

ML Model DeploymentExpertise in deploying, monitoring, and iterating ML models at scale

Education

Advanced DegreeMS, PhD, or equivalent research experience in Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field (preferred)

Experience

Engineering Management3+ years of management experience, preferably leading ML, AI, or data-focused teams
