Role

What you'll do.

Staff Full Stack Engineer at Snowflake building AI-native business intelligence and analytics experiences. You'll architect and develop end-to-end products using React, Go, and Java, working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, customer-facing solutions at enterprise scale. This role requires senior+ level full-stack expertise, strong product sense, and proficiency with modern AI tools in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within an established cloud computing leader.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Stack Product Development: Build and ship core AI-native dashboard and analytics capabilities across the entire technology stack, spanning React frontend interfaces, Go and Java backend systems, and cloud infrastructure components. Drive feature delivery from conception through production, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and user requirements.
  • End-to-End Project Ownership: Take ownership of complete project lifecycles spanning frontend architecture, backend system design, database optimization, and product specifications. Make deliberate engineering tradeoffs between development velocity, code quality, system reliability, and long-term maintainability in complex enterprise environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, data scientists, and peer engineering teams to design cohesive user experiences and establish shared technical vision. Communicate technical constraints and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders while advocating for sound architecture decisions.
  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Shape the technical direction of the AI BI platform, establish engineering best practices, elevate code quality standards across teams, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers. Participate in architectural reviews, code quality initiatives, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen overall engineering capability.
  • AI-Augmented Development: Leverage modern AI tools and assistants as high-trust collaborators to accelerate development velocity, improve code quality, and explore emerging capabilities. Use AI-driven development practices to rapidly iterate on features, generate insights, and solve complex technical challenges in ambiguous product spaces.
  • Scalable Systems Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable systems capable of supporting enterprise-scale data workloads and analytics operations. Ensure systems are designed for high availability, performance optimization, security compliance, and operational observability across distributed cloud infrastructure.

Technical

  • Full-Stack Web Development

    Production-level proficiency across frontend and backend development, with ability to architect complete systems and make informed technology choices across multiple layers.

  • React and Modern JavaScript

    Expert-level experience building complex, performant user interfaces with React, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and responsive design patterns.

  • Backend Systems (Go and/or Java)

    Strong experience building scalable backend services in Go, Java, or similar languages, with expertise in API design, database optimization, and distributed systems concepts.

  • Cloud Infrastructure and Databases

    Solid understanding of cloud computing architectures, relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing concepts, and the ability to design systems that leverage cloud-native services.

  • Enterprise-Scale System Design

  • AI Tools and LLM Integration

    Practical fluency with modern AI tools, large language models, and AI-assisted development workflows. Experience integrating AI capabilities into products or using AI to enhance development processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field

    Formal computer science education or equivalent practical software engineering experience and demonstrated mastery of core computer science concepts.

Experience

  • Senior+ Level Full-Stack Engineering

    Minimum 7-10 years of software engineering experience with at least 3-4 years at senior level or equivalent, demonstrating progression from individual contributor to technical leadership roles.

  • Shipping Customer-Facing Products

    Track record of designing, building, and launching multiple consumer or enterprise-facing products from concept through production, with demonstrated impact on user adoption and product success metrics.

  • 0-to-1 Product Development

    Successful experience in early-stage product development where ambiguity is high, requirements evolve rapidly, and the ability to move quickly and iterate is essential to success.

  • Complex Systems in Enterprise Contexts

    Hands-on experience building and maintaining robust systems in complex, large-scale enterprise environments with demanding reliability, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership

    Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams, influence architecture decisions, and mentor other engineers while balancing product velocity with engineering excellence.
