Summary

Tabs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive complex technical projects and scale AI-driven workflows in a high-growth fintech startup. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in system design, capable of leading technical initiatives and contributing to the company's engineering culture.

What you'll do

Technical Project Leadership: Own and drive complex technical projects end-to-end, from architectural design through implementation and production deployment
System Design and Scalability: Design and implement highly reliable, secure, and performant systems to support AI-driven financial workflows
Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with CTO and product team to align engineering efforts with company strategic priorities
Engineering Mentorship: Mentor and support other engineers, raising the bar on technical excellence and best practices
Organizational Culture Building: Contribute to developing and strengthening the foundation of Tabs' engineering organization

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesHands-on expertise with TypeScript, Python, or similar modern programming languages
Computer Science FundamentalsStrong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems
System ArchitectureProven experience in large-scale system design and architecture in high-growth environments

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping high-impact products
Leadership ExperienceDemonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams
