Role
What you'll do.
Join UiPath's Platform Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer to design and build internal infrastructure, virtualization services, and developer tooling that power automation across the enterprise. This role focuses on building self-managing systems and datacenter compute abstractions using virtualization technologies, cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code practices. You'll need 5+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in languages like C#/.NET, Java, or Go, combined with hands-on expertise in Linux, cloud platforms, and virtualization technologies to create scalable solutions that enable UiPath's engineering teams to ship faster and with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Infrastructure Services: Create tooling and services that provision, configure, and lifecycle-manage virtual machines on bare metal infrastructure using virtualization technologies like QEMU/KVM, VMware, or Hyper-V. Build abstraction layers that expose datacenter capacity as an elastic compute fabric for internal workloads to consume with cloud service simplicity.
- Build Datacenter Compute Infrastructure: Develop services that power the compute backbone for CI/CD pipeline runs and end-to-end automated testing at scale. Implement orchestration logic to schedule workloads across hybrid cloud and on-premise resources, ensuring reliability and optimal resource utilization.
- Automate Host Lifecycle Management: Engineer infrastructure-as-code solutions for complete host lifecycle automation including bring-up, hypervisor configuration, networking setup, storage provisioning, and decommissioning. Leverage tools like Terraform and Ansible to standardize and codify infrastructure operations.
- Enhance Virtualization Layer Reliability: Improve the reliability, observability, and performance of the virtualization layer through monitoring, logging, and optimization. Harden infrastructure for security at scale, implement automated health checks, and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR) for system failures.
- Contribute to Developer Experience Initiatives: Build and maintain standardized tooling for software development practices across engineering teams. Contribute to centralized initiatives like Automated Product Sign-Off, performance testing frameworks, and release validation systems that help teams ship with confidence.
- Architect Self-Managing Systems: Design and implement self-managing, self-healing infrastructure systems that reduce operational overhead. Create intuitive APIs and abstractions that enable internal engineering teams to consume infrastructure services without deep platform expertise.

Life at UiPath
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
Your mission
UiPath’s Platform Engineering team builds the internal infrastructure and tooling that keeps engineering across UiPath fast, reliable, and consistent. That includes a hybrid cloud compute fleet - powering pipeline runs and other internal workloads on our own datacenter using virtualization technologies - alongside centralized initiatives like Automated product Sign-Off, performance testing, and the standardization of software development practices through tooling the team builds in-house.
You’ll help build the software and tooling that make these systems self-managing and easy to consume, so engineering teams across UiPath can ship faster and with more confidence.
What you'll do at UiPath
Develop tooling that empowers engineering teams to consume datacenter compute as easily as a managed cloud service.
