Summary

Assured is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and scale their innovative insurance technology platform. The role involves guiding a talented engineering team, driving technical excellence, and helping to transform claims processing through advanced software solutions that modernize the insurance industry.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams through mentorship, career development, and ongoing feedback mechanisms
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver secure, scalable, and impactful software features for insurance claims processing
Technical Excellence: Drive engineering standards by guiding architectural decisions, promoting best practices, and ensuring system performance and reliability
Organizational Scaling: Refine engineering processes, support strategic hiring, and improve team velocity and execution capabilities
Cultural Development: Foster a collaborative learning environment that promotes transparency, adaptability, and shared ownership across engineering teams

What we look for

Technical

Technical LeadershipProven experience translating business and customer needs into comprehensive technical roadmaps and execution strategies
Technology StackStrong familiarity with modern web and cloud technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS

Education

Degree PreferenceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Management ExperienceMinimum 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role within a high-growth startup environment
Engineering Background8+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience across diverse technological domains
