Summary

Assured is seeking a Staff Application Platform Engineer to enhance developer productivity and build scalable, secure platform services for their insurance technology solutions. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end platform engineering projects, driving innovation in claims processing technology with a focus on creating robust, high-performance systems that empower engineering teams.

What you'll do

Developer Productivity: Elevate developer productivity by creating tools and abstractions that simplify complex engineering processes and enable teams to work more efficiently.
Platform Architecture: Design, develop, and optimize the company's platform to ensure security, reliability, and effortless scalability across engineering workflows.
Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across the technology stack, ensuring high-performance and smooth system operations.
Security Management: Champion security and reliability initiatives, implementing robust protection mechanisms for sensitive data and system integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across teams to design and implement engineering best practices that enhance overall organizational technical capabilities.
End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead projects comprehensively from initial conceptualization through to final deployment, driving quality, speed, and meaningful impact.

Education

Degree PreferenceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Experience

Engineering TenureMinimum of 8 years in platform or backend engineering with demonstrable expertise
Project LeadershipProven ability to lead complex technical projects independently from architectural design to production deployment
System DesignTrack record of building secure, reliable, and high-performance platform services
