Better Mortgage is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their inaugural engineering team in Irvine, California. The role focuses on building and enhancing Tinman, their AI-powered mortgage platform, with an opportunity to shape the future of home finance technology and contribute to a revolutionary fintech startup.

What you'll do

AI Platform Development: Build and enhance Tinman, the AI platform powering Better's SaaS and mortgage operations

Business Collaboration: Partner directly with business stakeholders and loan operations teams to understand friction points and design smarter, simpler workflows

API and Workflow Design: Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and workflows that integrate with mortgage, partner, and compliance systems

Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers across Better to evolve SaaS offerings and tenanted partner integrations

Team Culture Building: Contribute to a culture of learning, excellence, and experimentation, helping establish the Irvine team's engineering identity

What we look for
