What you'll do

Cloud Billing Systems: Design and implement scalable, accurate billing and pricing systems for Confluent Cloud

Distributed System Development: Build robust, performant backend services supporting usage-based billing across global markets

Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, engineering, and business teams to develop comprehensive solutions

System Optimization: Continuously improve system architecture, focusing on availability, performance, and operational excellence

What we look for

Technical

System Architecture8+ years experience in designing scalable distributed systems

Cloud TechnologiesProven expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field

Experience

Backend DevelopmentMinimum 8 years of relevant software engineering experience

Production SystemsDemonstrated experience running and optimizing production services
