Summary

Deliveroo is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join their Foundations team in London, building and scaling infrastructure systems that enable their global engineering organization to deploy software efficiently. The role focuses on architecting automated infrastructure using Go, operating secure AWS systems, and engineering robust CI/CD pipelines to support millions of customers across their three-sided marketplace platform.

What you'll do

Infrastructure Architecture: Architect and automate infrastructure using Go to improve developer workflows and enhance platform capabilities

Cloud System Design: Design and operate secure, scalable systems within AWS, balancing high performance with operational excellence

CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Engineer robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CircleCI or Buildkite to streamline global deployment cycles

Infrastructure as Code Implementation: Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards to ensure automated, repeatable environment management across the stack

System Reliability Enhancement: Enhance system reliability by troubleshooting complex production issues and improving observability across application and infrastructure layers

Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to define best practices for deployment, release management and cloud architecture

CI/CD SystemsStrong experience building and operating CI/CD systems using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Buildkite

Production Software DevelopmentExperience writing and maintaining production-quality software with proficiency in Go

AWS Cloud ServicesSolid AWS knowledge including core services, networking, IAM and cloud-native architecture principles

GitHub ProficiencyProven ability to work with GitHub including workflow automation and repository management

Infrastructure as CodeExperience with infrastructure as code and automated environment management

Experience

DevOps Engineering2-4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles
