Summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a critical role in transforming data infrastructure, working closely with data scientists and product teams to develop clean, well-documented datasets using cloud-based warehousing technologies and BI tools like Snowflake and Looker.

What you'll do

Data Infrastructure Development: Create clean, tested, and well-documented datasets that empower data scientists and business users

Data Transformation: Develop and maintain SQL data transformation scripts, ensuring high-quality data modeling and denormalized output datasets

BI Tool Management: Surface intuitive datasets in Looker and optimize its adoption across the organization for approximately 1500 active users

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product engineering teams and data scientists to meet downstream data requirements and review data modeling approaches

Technical

SQL ExpertiseAdvanced SQL skills for complex data transformations and modeling

Cloud Data WarehousingProficiency in cloud-based MPP data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift

Data ModelingStrong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts

Education

DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Engineering
