Summary

Edra is seeking a talented Front End Software Engineer to join their innovative AI startup in New York. The ideal candidate will be a passionate technologist who can build high-quality user interfaces, contribute to product architecture, and thrive in a deeply technical, collaborative environment focused on enterprise AI solutions.

What you'll do

Frontend Development: Build high-quality user-facing product experiences using TypeScript and React
Product Architecture: Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and overall product design
End-to-End Ownership: Manage tasks independently from context gathering to final implementation without direct product management oversight
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, AI experts, and engineering colleagues to drive product development
Technical Innovation: Establish technical patterns, conventions, and tooling choices that will shape the company's engineering culture

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesExpert-level TypeScript with strong typing and documentation skills
Frontend FrameworksProficient in React, with experience in Next.js a plus
System UnderstandingAbility to understand and debug backend systems beyond frontend scope

Education

Educational BackgroundComputer science degree preferred but not mandatory

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 3 years of software engineering experience
Library/Tooling DevelopmentPrior experience building libraries, SDKs, or internal developer tooling
