Summary

Notion is seeking a senior Software Engineer for their Web Infrastructure team to optimize web client performance, develop robust frameworks, and enhance development velocity. The ideal candidate will lead critical projects that improve page rendering, interaction latency, and create developer tooling to empower Notion's engineering team.

What you'll do

Performance Optimization: Lead projects to reduce page rendering time and improve interaction latency across the Notion web application
Developer Tooling: Build frameworks and tools that enable product engineers to develop high-quality features more efficiently
Code Modularization: Improve client codebase through strategic modularization, lazy loading, and asset caching
Best Practices Development: Define and implement best practices for web engineering at Notion

Technical

Web Development8-10+ years of experience building large-scale web applications
Performance EngineeringDemonstrated ability to improve real-user performance metrics
Tooling ExpertiseStrong skills in build tools, bundling, and performance profiling

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience

Web InfrastructureSubstantial experience in web infrastructure, performance optimization, and developer tooling
