The role

Summary

Plaid is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Data Partner Experience (DPX) team, responsible for building critical infrastructure that powers the Plaid network's financial institution integrations. The ideal candidate will drive technical execution, team growth, and strategic product development for partner-facing technologies.

What you'll do

Technical Roadmap Execution: Own technical delivery for DPX roadmap, including Data Partner Dashboard, onboarding redesign, health monitoring, and migration tooling

Team Management: Manage and grow engineering team across multiple locations, focusing on team development and culture

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Data Partnerships, and Data Partner Support to align priorities and unblock execution

Engineering Quality: Drive engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, architectural decisions, and reliability standards

Talent Development: Hire, develop, and grow engineering talent while establishing team processes and norms

Technical

Systems DesignStrong systems design and architectural judgment with experience in building scalable infrastructure

Product EngineeringProven track record of shipping customer or partner-facing products with high-quality standards

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Management Experience6+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years of engineering team management

Leadership Track RecordDemonstrated ability to grow engineers and build strong team culture

Required skills

Team ManagementAbility to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams across multiple locations

CommunicationExcellent communication skills, particularly in cross-functional and non-technical interactions
