Summary

Plaid is seeking a talented Software Engineer to help build scalable financial technology systems that power connections between apps and financial institutions. The role involves designing robust backend services and APIs that enable seamless financial data access, working collaboratively across engineering, product, and design teams to deliver innovative solutions that make financial services more transparent and accessible.

What you'll do

System Design & Development: Build and maintain scalable, reliable backend or fullstack systems and APIs that power Plaid's financial technology products, ensuring robust and efficient infrastructure.

Collaborative Product Development: Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define and deliver features that solve complex customer financial challenges.

Code Quality & Engineering Standards: Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly tested code, participating in comprehensive code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and best practices.

System Performance & Reliability: Build automated tests, continuously monitor system performance, and proactively troubleshoot issues in production environments to ensure optimal system reliability.

Technical Innovation: Contribute to technical design discussions, share industry best practices, and help continuously improve Plaid's engineering processes and technological capabilities.

Backend DevelopmentStrong capabilities in designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience1-4 years of professional software engineering experience post-internship
