The role

Summary

Quora is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Poe product's Creators team, focusing on developing and expanding the Developer API. The ideal candidate will build cutting-edge features, enhance third-party developer experiences, and contribute to the growth of Poe's AI platform by implementing innovative API functionalities.

What you'll do

API Development: Partner with cross-functional teams to create innovative developer experiences and API features for Poe's platform
Product Feature Implementation: Rapidly prototype and implement new product features from ideation to production using modern web technologies
Developer Collaboration: Work closely with early access developers to deliver scalable and efficient API features
Developer Experience: Champion both developer experience and sustainable, scalable code practices
System Reliability: Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure Poe provides a reliable and high-quality product

What we look for

Technical

Programming Experience5+ years working with large-scale codebases and systems
Language Proficiency3+ years experience in Python, Java, C++ or similar programming language

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

System ArchitectureDemonstrated experience in designing complex software systems
API DevelopmentPreferred: 2+ years experience in designing APIs or building UI products for external developers
