Summary

Snowflake is seeking an innovative AI Engineer for its Database Engineering team, focusing on developing cutting-edge AI-native solutions. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end AI engineering lifecycle, building enterprise-grade context engineering and agentic workflows for database products with a focus on experimental problem-solving and high-impact innovation.

What you'll do

AI Feature Development: Own end-to-end AI engineering lifecycle for Snowflake Database Engineering products

Workflow Engineering: Build agentic workflows, coding harnesses, and evaluation pipelines

Context Engineering: Develop enterprise-grade context engineering with function calling, tool schemas, and agent teams

Evaluation Design: Create golden sets, design evaluation metrics, analyze errors, and run experimental improvements

Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with product and infrastructure teams to translate customer problems into innovative solutions

What we look for

Technical

AI Engineering5+ years of experience shipping AI features in production

ProgrammingProficiency in Python, Typescript, and Go

System DesignExperience building and owning complex software systems with advanced state management

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
