Summary

Snowflake's Observe Product is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the backend team responsible for building core observability features. The ideal candidate will drive product development, mentor engineers, and leverage Snowflake's innovative data platform to create cutting-edge observability solutions that help enterprises troubleshoot and optimize their technical infrastructure.

What you'll do

Product Feature Leadership: Drive end-to-end product feature development from design through deployment and monitoring in the observability platform

Team Management: Lead and grow a world-class engineering team, mentoring and coaching engineers to achieve their full potential

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and frontend/UI teams to define innovative observability features leveraging Snowflake's unique data platform capabilities

Platform Enhancement: Collaborate with data platform engineering leaders to drive continuous improvements to the core data infrastructure

Technical Strategy: Connect customer requirements with technical capabilities, ensuring product features solve real-world observability challenges

Data Platform ExperienceProven experience with large-scale data processing platforms like Snowflake, Trino, or ClickHouse

Enterprise SaaS DevelopmentExtensive experience building enterprise-grade SaaS products

Hands-on CodingStrong technical skills with ability to write code and dive deep into technical implementations

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
