The role
Summary
Join Snowflake's Product Security team to architect and implement foundational security systems that protect the Data Cloud platform. This Software Engineer role focuses on designing multi-cloud security solutions including secret management, key management, identity, and authorization systems that scale across the enterprise. Interview process
- 1Resume and Application Review — Initial screening of technical qualifications, relevant experience, and project portfolio. Verification of educational background and core technical competencies.
- 2Recruiter Phone Screening — Introductory call with technical recruiter to discuss role expectations, company culture, compensation alignment, and initial assessment of technical depth and communication skills.
- 3Technical Coding Interview — Hands-on assessment of problem-solving skills, algorithm knowledge, and coding proficiency. Typically 45-60 minutes focused on system design, data structures, and code quality.
- 4System Design and Architecture Interview — Deep dive into designing scalable security systems. Discussion of multi-cloud considerations, performance optimization, reliability patterns, and architectural trade-offs relevant to security infrastructure.
- 5Security Domain Expert Interview — Specialized technical round with security infrastructure engineers. Assessment of security knowledge, authentication/authorization experience, and understanding of secure software development lifecycle practices.
- 6Team Lead or Manager Interview — Behavioral and cultural fit interview with direct manager or team lead. Discussion of collaboration style, communication effectiveness, growth mindset, and alignment with AI-native, experimental approach to problem solving.
- 7Executive or Senior Leadership Round — Optional final round with senior stakeholders for senior-level candidates. Strategic conversation about career aspirations, impact potential, and long-term vision within Snowflake's security organization.
