Summary

Tabs is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building core capabilities of their AI-native revenue platform. The ideal candidate will drive team performance, technical excellence, and strategic product development in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment focused on finance and accounting automation.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, providing feedback, and supporting career growth initiatives
Delivery Management: Own delivery planning and execution, ensuring predictable and high-quality software development outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Design teams to define project scope, timelines, and technical approaches
Technical Guidance: Guide architectural and technical decisions while maintaining a high engineering quality standard
Process Improvement: Continuously improve engineering processes, tooling, and overall team effectiveness
Talent Acquisition: Lead hiring and onboarding of new engineers as the team scales

Engineering FundamentalsSolid technical background in backend, frontend, or full-stack system development

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Engineering Management3+ years of experience managing engineers in a product-focused environment
Overall Engineering Experience7-10+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience
Startup ExperiencePreferred background in high-growth or startup technology environments
