The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for their Crypto team to drive product insights and decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to shape the company's crypto experience, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, evaluate product strategies, and deliver high-impact business recommendations.

What you'll do

Product Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams to inform and shape product strategy and decision-making
Analytical Frameworks: Develop metrics, data models, and analytical frameworks to understand customer behavior and business performance
Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, growth, retention, and operational efficiency through data analysis
Insight Translation: Translate complex business questions into clear recommendations and actionable insights
Trend Analysis: Proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities to help the team focus on high-impact work

What we look for

Technical

Data Science Expertise5+ years experience in data science, product analytics, or related field
Programming SkillsStrong analytical skills using SQL and Python
Experimental DesignFamiliarity with experimentation and causal inference methods

Education

Advanced DegreePreferred: Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
