The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Software Developer specializing in Financial Risk engineering to join their innovative team. The role focuses on building robust fraud detection systems, client resolution flows, and compliance tools that protect millions of Canadian clients while maintaining high standards of security and user experience.

What you'll do

Fraud Detection Systems: Design and implement advanced fraud detection mechanisms across transaction monitoring, account behavior analysis, and comprehensive risk assessment
Client Resolution Flows: Develop self-serve resolution experiences that efficiently restore client account access while maintaining security protocols
Internal Tooling: Create and improve operational tools that enable efficient investigation and resolution of fraud cases
Risk-Based Product Features: Develop dynamic product features like transaction limits that reflect accurate client risk profiles
Compliance Systems: Contribute to systems ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory requirements
