Summary

Zip is offering a dynamic Software Engineering Intern position for summer 2026, providing an opportunity to work on cutting-edge procurement technology with a high-growth startup. Interns will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, contribute to innovative projects, and gain hands-on experience in developing scalable web applications and APIs.

What you'll do

Product Development: Design and build highly reliable and resilient software products and features for Zip's procurement platform
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and develop thoughtful solutions
Code Quality: Write high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code that meets industry best practices
Frontend Development: Design and build scalable frontend applications and components
API Development: Design and implement APIs to drive existing and new features for web-based applications

What we look for

Technical

Web TechnologiesExperience with web applications and API development
Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with React and GraphQL

Education

Academic BackgroundPursuing BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field (physics, math) with graduation expected between December 2026 - June 2027

Experience

Learning AgilityAbility to quickly learn new frameworks, architecture patterns, and programming languages
CommunicationExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Web DevelopmentStrong understanding of web application development principles
ProgrammingCoding skills in at least one modern programming language
