The role
Summary
Airwallex is seeking a Senior Corporate Security Engineer to protect their enterprise systems and employees from security threats including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access. This technical role focuses on incident response, digital forensics, and security tool development in a rapidly growing fintech environment. The position requires 5+ years of security engineering experience with expertise in tools like CrowdStrike and Splunk.
What you'll do
Incident Response Management: Lead incident response efforts for malware infections, phishing attacks, and security breaches through comprehensive digital forensics investigations
Security Control Development: Design, develop, test, and evaluate new corporate security controls to protect rapidly scaling business infrastructure
Threat Hunting and Detection: Perform proactive threat hunting through log analysis and implement security alerts and workflows for incident response lifecycle
Corporate IT Security: Secure corporate IT infrastructure including identity providers, endpoints, corporate networks, and cloud platforms
Security Tooling Operations: Deploy, configure, and operate enterprise security tools with focus on measurable impact and effectiveness
Cross-functional Collaboration: Communicate complex technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and coordinate with various teams during security incidents

Security Monitoring ToolsStrong hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Splunk, or similar enterprise security monitoring and SIEM platforms
Threat AnalysisDeep understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) with ability to detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents
Endpoint SecurityExperience securing endpoints using MDM tools such as Kandji, Intune, and endpoint detection and response solutions
Scripting and AutomationProficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for security automation and incident response scripting
Cloud Platform SecurityExperience with GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or other cloud platforms for security implementation and monitoring
Education
Bachelor's DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related technical field
Experience
Security Engineering Experience5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or incident response roles within technology companies
Identity and Access ManagementPreferred experience with Okta, Google Workspace, and cloud-based VPN services for corporate identity security
Startup EnvironmentExperience working in high-growth startup environments with rapidly evolving security requirements
