Airwallex is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for their Knowledge Platform team in San Francisco, focusing on designing scalable data models, managing ETL pipelines, and supporting data governance strategies. What you'll do

Data Modeling: Design scalable data models supporting business intelligence, machine learning, and operational needs

ETL Pipeline Management: Build and maintain batch and streaming ETL pipelines with end-to-end workflow management

Data Governance: Contribute to data governance strategies, policies, and standards

Data Quality: Ensure data consistency, traceability, and quality across multiple sources and domains

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Platform Engineers, Product Managers, and business teams to translate data needs

What we look for

Technical

ETL ToolsProficiency in Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi

Cloud TechnologiesExperience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery and Airflow

Education

Bachelor's DegreeComputer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, or related field

Experience

Work ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines
