The role

Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to serve as the primary technical partner for Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) teams, focusing on building automation workflows, implementing AI solutions, and managing enterprise SaaS integrations. This role requires expertise in identity management, API integrations, and workflow orchestration tools to scale LRC operations globally.

What you'll do

LRC Technical Partnership: Serve as primary IT engineer for Legal, Risk and Compliance teams, learning their workflows and building scalable solutions

Workflow Automation: Build and implement complex workflows and orchestrations using low-code/no-code tools like Workato, Okta Workflows, and Zapier

AI Implementation: Design and implement AI solutions with focus on legal-specific tools like Harvey.ai and other LRC-focused applications

API Integration: Work with APIs across major vendors including Okta, Google, GCP, and Aliyun to build integrated solutions

Legal Application Management: Build, enhance and serve as technical owner for legal applications including Ironclad, Auditboard, and internal tools

Service Desk Operations: Manage and build service desks and orchestrations using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)

Full Lifecycle Ownership: Own complete feature lifecycle from proof-of-concept through implementation to operations and maintenance

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with INFOSEC, People Ops, Engineering and IT teams to build scalable global systems

Platform Integration: Integrate tools with cloud platforms and SaaS portfolio including SFDC, Slack, Google Workspace

Incident Response: Respond to incidents as part of on-call roster and handle escalations from other IT teams

Documentation Management: Write comprehensive documentation and maintain solution diagrams for technical implementations

Continuous Improvement: Constantly evaluate, test and enhance products and offerings to prevent technical debt

Workflow OrchestrationExpert knowledge of workflow tools and orchestration platforms like Workato

Programming SkillsExperience with Python programming language and infrastructure as code using Terraform

API IntegrationStrong experience working with REST APIs and integrating with common vendor platforms

Cloud InfrastructureExperience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and understanding of cloud architecture

Access ManagementUnderstanding of RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, ACLs and access management principles in security environments

SaaS SystemsExperience working with SaaS-based systems and applications across enterprise environments

MDM SystemsStrong understanding of Mobile Device Management for macOS and Windows using JAMF, Intune, Kandji

Education

Bachelor's DegreeBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field

Experience

IT Engineering Experience5+ years of relevant experience in similar IT engineering or systems integration role

Technical DocumentationStrong ability to write comprehensive technical documentation and system diagrams

Autonomous Work StyleAbility to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining velocity and meeting aggressive deadlines
