Airwallex is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join their innovative mobile team, developing cutting-edge native iOS and Android applications for global business financial services. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with extensive mobile development experience, passionate about building high-performance, user-friendly mobile solutions for a fast-growing fintech platform.

What you'll do

Mobile App Development: Take ownership of design, implementation, and delivery of key features across iOS and Android applications, ensuring intuitive, performant, and reliable user experiences

Technical Leadership: Collaborate with engineering team to define architecture, share best practices, and drive high-quality standards across mobile platforms

Strategic Contribution: Influence mobile app evolution by shaping core architecture and contributing to long-term technical direction

Process Improvement: Contribute to team processes, product decisions, and broader engineering strategy as the company scales globally

Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality, focusing on clean, testable code and continuous improvement of the mobile technology stack

What we look for

Technical

Mobile Development6+ years of experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or Android using modern frameworks

Platform TechnologiesExpertise in SwiftUI, Combine, Async/Await for iOS, or AndroidX, Coroutines, Hilt for Android

CI/CDExperience maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise)

Education

Academic BackgroundBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Production ExperienceProven track record of shipping one or more production apps available on App Store or Google Play

Code QualityDemonstrated ability to write testable code with high test coverage
