The role

Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior/Staff Network Engineer to define and implement the global technical strategy for enterprise and cloud network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design highly secure, multi-region hybrid network solutions, champion infrastructure-as-code automation, and mentor engineers across the global infrastructure team.

What you'll do

Network Infrastructure Design: Build and design corporate network infrastructure for global Airwallex offices, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, and VPN across multiple regions

Network Management: Configure and maintain on-premises networking hardware, manage global connectivity, and troubleshoot complex network devices

Technical Leadership: Lead network configuration, act as first responder for network issues, and develop comprehensive network documentation

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with multiple teams to integrate network solutions and support business initiatives

Team Development: Mentor and coach network engineers, share knowledge, and help attract top talent

Networking VendorsExpert-level experience with Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Aruba networking solutions

Infrastructure AutomationProficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible

Cloud InfrastructureExperience with multi-cloud environments including AWS and Alibaba Cloud

Education

DegreeBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Experience

Network Engineering5+ years of senior-level experience in global network infrastructure design and management
