Summary

Benchling is seeking a Software Engineer for their Developer Enablement team to build innovative platform technologies that empower scientific research and AI-driven discovery. The role focuses on developing robust APIs, developer interfaces, and infrastructure that enable scientists and partners to accelerate biotechnology innovations through seamless software integration.

What you'll do

Platform API Development: Design and implement external developer-facing APIs and SDKs to power platform extensibility
API Scalability: Evolve and scale REST and GraphQL APIs with focus on consistency, performance, and usability
Data Integration: Build systems for real-time scientific data delivery and large-scale data ingestion/export
AI Agent Support: Contribute to APIs and interfaces supporting AI-driven research agents

Education

Computer ScienceDegree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience1+ years of professional software engineering experience
