Summary

Confluent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Connect Platform team, focusing on building critical data integration components that bridge Apache Kafka with external systems. The role involves designing scalable, secure connector technologies that enable seamless data streaming across enterprise environments, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native development and distributed systems expertise.

What you'll do

Platform Integration: Design and implement connectors bridging Kafka with external systems

System Architecture: Architect complex engineering systems from end to end

Performance Optimization: Enhance stability, performance, and scalability of critical systems

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentor team members

Security Implementation: Develop authentication, security, and access control mechanisms
