The role

Summary

Confluent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join their Kora Serverless team, focusing on designing and building high-performance distributed systems for their cloud-native Kafka service. The ideal candidate will drive technical leadership in creating scalable, resilient platform technologies that revolutionize data streaming infrastructure.

What you'll do

Platform Development: Build software for mission-critical Kora Serverless platform, focusing on high-performance, scalable, and resilient systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product, and field teams to create and execute impactful roadmaps for the Kora Serverless team

Service Level Management: Ensure and exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for critical cloud services

Technology Stack Optimization: Evaluate and enhance platform technology stack, staying current with industry trends and adopting cutting-edge solutions

Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship, drive teamwork, and offer technical guidance to engineering team members

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Java and Scala for backend development

Education
