Summary

Cursor is seeking a Field Engineering Manager to lead and scale a high-impact pre-sales technical team supporting enterprise accounts. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strong people management skills, and cross-functional leadership to drive technical sales strategies and customer engagement for an AI-native development platform.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and scale a team of Field Engineers supporting enterprise opportunities across the West region, setting clear expectations and career development paths
Sales Enablement: Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive high-quality technical discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (POCs)
Strategic Escalation: Serve as a critical escalation point for complex customer evaluations and high-stakes enterprise deals
Product Insights: Act as the internal voice of the field engineering team, providing customer and prospect insights back to Product and Engineering teams
Customer Handoff: Ensure seamless transitions with post-sales teams to support successful customer onboarding and adoption

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Leadership Experience4+ years of experience leading Field Engineers, Solutions Architects, or Pre-Sales teams in enterprise software
Sales CollaborationProven track record of effective partnership with Sales teams while maintaining technical integrity
