The role

Summary

Deel is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to enhance their global payroll and HR platform's security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will develop automated security tools, implement secure cloud infrastructure, and collaborate across teams to integrate robust security practices into the development lifecycle.

What you'll do

Security Automation: Develop and maintain automated security tools and processes to identify vulnerabilities, perform code analysis, monitor systems, and conduct comprehensive security testing across the CI/CD pipeline.

Secure Infrastructure Design: Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure with robust network architecture, ensuring proper access controls, encryption, and comprehensive system monitoring.

Continuous Security Monitoring: Implement advanced security monitoring tools and processes to proactively detect and respond to security events, including log analysis, intrusion detection, and systematic system monitoring.

Cross-Team Security Collaboration: Act as a critical liaison between development, operations, and security teams, ensuring seamless integration of security requirements into the development process.

Compliance Management: Support compliance assessments and audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards by providing comprehensive documentation and evidence of security controls.

Technical

Infrastructure as Code SecurityProficiency in creating and scanning infrastructure configurations using tools like Checkov, tfsec, and Terrascan

Programming LanguagesStrong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python

Cloud SecurityExperience managing WAF and firewall configurations (e.g., Cloudflare)

Education

Cybersecurity KnowledgeComprehensive understanding of security principles, threat modeling, and risk assessment techniques

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 3 years in Security, SecOps, or DevSecOps roles

Security Best PracticesDeep understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding principles, encryption, authentication, and access control
