Summary

Deel is seeking a Team Lead for their Customer Sandbox Engineering team, looking for a seasoned engineering professional who can balance technical leadership and hands-on development. The role involves leading a cross-functional team of 6-10 professionals, driving technical excellence, and delivering scalable solutions in a fast-growing, globally distributed SaaS environment.

What you'll do

Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical guidance and hands-on development support for the Production Sandboxes Team

Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 6-10 professionals, fostering growth and skill development

System Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable orchestration UI, automation engines, and data synchronization pipelines

Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensure high coding standards, and drive technical excellence

Strategic Planning: Define and implement technical strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term system health

Software Engineering FundamentalsStrong understanding of object-oriented programming, system design, and clean code principles

Advanced SQL SkillsAbility to write complex queries and understand query performance implications

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Leadership ExperienceProven track record of technical leadership and team management in software engineering

Production EnvironmentSubstantial experience working in production environments with complex system interactions
