Summary

Deel is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join their globally distributed team, focusing on enhancing security automation, infrastructure protection, and continuous monitoring for their innovative global payroll and HR platform. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in integrating security practices across development and operations, supporting Deel's mission to transform global work infrastructure.

What you'll do

Security Automation: Develop and maintain automated security tools and processes to identify vulnerabilities, perform code analysis, monitor systems, and conduct comprehensive security testing across the CI/CD pipeline.

Secure Infrastructure Design: Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure, network architecture, and deployment processes with robust access controls, encryption, and comprehensive monitoring strategies.

Continuous Security Monitoring: Implement advanced security monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify, analyze, and respond to security events and potential anomalies across the organization's systems.

Cross-Functional Security Collaboration: Foster seamless communication and collaboration between development, operations, and security teams to ensure integrated security requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

Compliance Management: Support compliance assessments and audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry security standards by providing comprehensive documentation and evidence of security controls.

What we look for

Technical

Infrastructure as Code SecurityExpertise in policy-as-code and infrastructure security scanning tools like Checkov, tfsec, and Terrascan

Programming SkillsProficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, with strong version control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline experience

Security ToolsAdvanced knowledge of WAF, firewall configurations, security scanners (SAST, DAST), and vulnerability management systems

Education

Educational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 3 years in Security, SecOps, or DevSecOps roles with demonstrated expertise in security implementation

Security PrinciplesComprehensive understanding of security standards, OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, encryption, authentication, and access control
