The role

Summary

Docker is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a critical role in shaping product security strategy and implementing robust security controls across their cloud-native container platforms. The ideal candidate will be a security expert who can proactively identify and mitigate risks in cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and AI/ML products while collaborating across engineering teams.

What you'll do

Security Strategy: Align security initiatives with business goals and ensure security is a core component of product and infrastructure development

Vulnerability Management: Drive implementation of vulnerability management programs and manage Docker's Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP)

Security Architecture: Design and implement security architecture and controls across Docker products and platforms, including cloud environments

Threat Modeling: Perform security design reviews and threat modeling for emerging AI products and infrastructure

Security Integration: Integrate security into Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through security requirements, design assessments, and automated security testing

Technical

Cloud SecurityExtensive experience securing cloud ecosystems including AWS, GCP, and Azure

Programming LanguagesProficient in Python or Golang with 3+ years of hands-on development experience

Authentication TechnologiesDeep expertise in OAuth, SAML, OIDC, MFA, cryptography, and Zero Trust principles

Container SecurityExperience with runtime security solutions in Kubernetes and Docker environments

Education

Cybersecurity DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Security Engineering5+ years of experience in security engineering roles, focusing on application and infrastructure security in cloud-native or SaaS environments

Cloud SecurityComprehensive understanding of cloud security best practices and configurations

Threat ModelingAbility to perform comprehensive security design reviews and identify potential vulnerabilities

ComplianceKnowledge of compliance regulations like SOC 2, ISO 27xxx, GDPR, CCPA, and FIPS
